Um...what EXACTLY does that mean?

Xenophobia means fear or hatred of foreigners and foreign stuff.

Racism = skin color
Xenophobia = country of origin

There's a difference.

A lot of white American people are biased about French people of all colors, for example.

a story wouldve been nice on this one, but no, they are not equal, for example a black or white person of the u.s. could hate foriegners of the same race in canada... that was just an example not to be taken seriously

Most Americans? Most Americans AREN'T anti-French. They definitely seemed to be a minority.

Boiled down... both come to the same thing: fear and hatred of those who are considered different...

I think because of its definition it doesnt mean racism, just another form of agoraphobia really.

i think racism is worse mostly because xenophobia is a mental illness much like the reasons i'm awake right now....racism is ignorance

That's not necessarily true. Racism isn't just about skin colour.

By the definitions above, one is a fear, the other is a belief.
So, no, that makes them pretty different.

I bet there are underlying prejudiced beliefs behind those fears, though, such as "I don't want those criminals in my country." or "They're lazy and they're stealing our jobs."

hating Germans could be classed as racism, they are a different group from Americans or English people both culturally and overall genetically and that can form the basis of racism.
