the idea of capitolism isnt similar in any way, because capitolism is meant to give the little guy a chance. but in actuality, i guess it works out that way.

It only resembles the shape of a pryamid because there tend to be more stupid people than smart people. It's a pryamid resembling the ability distribution of the people. The base represents the large percentage of people who don't have the ability to achieve very much, and the top represent the small percentage of great minds who can achieve a lot.
