isn't human behavior itself an area of study within psychology, and is also something that is not yet fully understood itself?

i say study it. maybe we'll get the answers to why people have certain conditions, and know how to treat them better.

Everything should be studied, there are limits to what we should do when performing those studies. The sacrifice of human life or liberty is not acceptable.

Probably, for our own sanity, but we won't know what those are until it's too late.

Why science? What basis do we have for believing that the world is real or that we can learn about it by studying it?

Well, a scientific approach begins w/ the consideration of whether to study it further, and some things should stop right there, but that's still a one-step scientific experiment on some level. The examples I'm thinking of are basically "in the moment," one-off things, like enjoying a game w/ your kids or something rather than remaining cold and detached and studying it.

Nope! Study it all.

So long as the experimental designs and protocols fall within the limits of ethical conduct, no, I don't think there's anything that shouldn't be studied concerning human behavior.
