yeah, he's just cycling, when drafting behind a truck on a bicycle it is actually very easy, just extremely dangerous.
Mythbusters did it |

i don't really get how though. :P even just going down a steep hill fast in my highest gear i can barely peddle fast enough to keep up with the wheels. Let alone at 60mph.i don't really get how though. :P even just going down a steep hill fast in my highest gear i can barely peddle fast enough to keep up with the wheels. Let alone at 60mph. |

I imagine he's using the slipstream caused by the truck. Reduced wind resistant so you can achieve higher speeds. |

I top out at over 50 mph, without drafting anything (but definitely going downhill). Super dangerous, but if you draft off a large vehicle you can get going a whole lot faster. |

I should also point out I'm not even a very good cyclist and my bike, as far as road racing bikes go, is kind of old and cheap. |

Yeah, I agree with catchall. I was just the commissaire vehicle for a road race, and these guys hit 80 km/h easily on the downhills, not drafting off of anything except the guy in front of them. |
