Consider that in reality, whatever color your shirt is has very different images, in terms of the wavelength of light, depending on whether you're outside in sunlight or inside in artificial light, or in relative darkness. However, your brain is used to seeing them as 'the same thing' and attributes the same color to it regardless (color constancy). The square A and B trick plays on that ability. |
