It's kind of ironic (and sad) that poverty seems to be the most efficient way to live environmentally friendly.

I think that's covered by "consignment shop", it's an American euphamism.

^^ oddly enough, I've never heard of that. I would've thought of something else if I had heard "consignment shop" without context.

I don't think consignment shop is the same thing really as a thrift store or buying from garage sales, etc.

Speaking of bicycles and the benefits of environmentally conscious habits, which may be confused, accurately or inaccurately, as being the habits of a lower class individual, I ran a 5K this morning. Strong legs are really all you need to run. I came in second. I didn't have the lung capacity for the final kick at the end. He passed me in the last stretch.

You might not know it to look at me, but I can run really fast.

Pretty woman is a movie and art is a lie. Clearly the boutique is in the wrong, that's why it's depicted in the film.

I mean...

I ride my bike to classes.

(What am I going to do during May?)

I used to work at a consignment shop, which is the only reason I know the difference.

A consignment shop is a shop where people take things they want to be sold and the shop owners sells them for them for a ~50% commission. Think an eBay store, minus the internet.

Thrift stores sell second-hand clothes that were either donated or sold to the store for a very small percentage of the original cost.
