Why do animal groups like peta support neutering your animals? You'd think they'd feel the animals have a right to reproduce.

Peta is hardly a company to refer to when looking for logical thinking.

Ok, this really made me cry. Like..a lot. ugh

Have you ever read the pets forum at Craig's List? Every one of these excuses is used.

And I get way too sensitive about that sort of thing.

Yes, I've seen such postings. I also hear it on a regular basis when doing my shifts at the SPCA.

The worst was one with a guy who brought in a JRT who still had stiches from an operation and was peeing blood. He said that he was obliged to get rid of his dog, said he was sorry, and then treated me as though I was the insensitive b*tch for suggesting that he should at least wait until the dog was healthy enough to be adopted being abandoning him.

Ugh, I hate people so much.
I think getting a dog is a big responsibility, of course, but when I think about getting a dog I look at it as this dog will be part of my family for the rest of his/her life.

Dogs are work, I hate these excuses.
And the one about "we are remodeling" made me mad. (they all did, though.)

I'm sure I've told my humane society stories before. But, one person turned in a dog because it didn't match her new decor.

My doggie was my son. My kids referred to him as their brother, and losing him was like losing a part of my soul. Couldn't imagine giving him away voluntarily.

Pegasus has a great quote in her profile about dogs.

What? Because it didn't match her decor? I would have called her a stupid c*nt right then and there. Some people are just too stupid for words.

Yes, every pet I've lost in my life has been like losing someone in my family.
It's heartbreaking, and is so hard.

I would give anything to be able to have a dog- and people that have them don't even care. Ugh!

And giving a dog away because he's too old is awful too.

i just want to find people like that and just smak them across the face. i love animals, especially dogs, and when people do this kinda stuff.....makes me wonder why they would put any animal thro that. i have 2 dogs and 5 cats. we have never once thought of giving them up because "its just to much work" or "shes too lazy/ full of energy" they are the part of my family, a big part too

I hate how people SEVERELY underestimate just what caring for animals will mean.

And the poor animals... half of them are killed in those shelters because their first owner grew bored with him.

I also hate how people seem to think that animals are toys that don't feel and can't think. And when those "toys" break... off to the shelter with them.

This REALLY pisses me off, seeing how people treat everything like they have a right to it. Animals, the universe, the earth itself...

Get over your greed and actually give a damn for the things that you are SUPPOSED to be caring for!
