We've been working on using 7th Generation products, and I recently bought organic makeup (which happens to be great). Also, I'm allergic to.. lots of stuff.. so I can't even use regular shampoo and conditioner.

I clean with Method or baking soda/vinegar but it gave me a bad score for using commercial laundry stuff. I'm sorry, but I haven't found a 7th Generation or Method detergent that actually cleans clothes. I use Arm & Hammer Naturals.

I always heard there was no point in buying organic cosmetics and toiletries, but I guess manufacturing them puts chemicals all over. Maybe I'd switch to some organic makeup if it worked as good. It just seems that kind of stuff never does. I was surprised to get such a high score because I really try to make my footprint smaller.

You have to keep in mind that it is not comparing you to the average American, but the average person who cares enough to take this quiz. If you take the quiz, you probably are trying to reduce your footprint in the first place. So an average score is good when compared to the general public.

I got a 38. I use some regular and some environmentally-friendly cleaners. I wear make-up and love my non-stick pans.
