I suck! You scored 2 out of 7 You're a Portion Dunce! Time for a serving-size reality check! If you're a member of the Clean Plate Club, either at home or when dining out, you may be seriously overeating. Sure, two cups of pasta may look perfect on your plate, but that's the equivalent of four standard servings! Brush up on smart portions by perusing the nutrition facts on food labels — and read on for more sound serving-size tips. |

I got six out of seven but I think I'm right on the seventh one. A serving size of cheese is an ounce according to almost every cheese product you can buy in the store. The article says natural cheese has a serving size of 1 and 1/2 ounces, but where do they get this from? It's totally arbitrary what a "serving size" is. The industry or the FDA usually sets it. As far as I can tell this woman just pulled the number out of her ass. Besides, you shouldn't be eating more than a couple ounces anyway. That's already well over two hundred calories for a snack that lasts a few seconds. |
